How it Started.

What began as spare-time sketches quickly became a way of studying the shapes, proportions and emotion behind iconic design.

The process of drawing slowed everything down, allowing details, surfaces and proportions to be understood in a way that simply looking never could.

These studies continue to influence the way collections are developed, bringing the same attention to detail from sketchbook to garment.

Component Study.

A hand-drawn wheel study exploring proportion, depth and the intricate details behind performance-inspired design.

Each sketch started as a simple exercise in observation, studying the small details that often define great design.

Architectural Study.

Alongside automotive sketches, I found inspiration in classic architecture from years gone by.

This study focused on proportion and the intricate details often missed within historic design.

Sketching buildings became another way of understanding real craftsmanship that is all around us and has been for years.

Formula Study.

Created as part of a wider series of automotive studies, a hand-drawn study examining the raw simplicity and function-led design of single-seater race cars.

The focus was placed on capturing the car’s aggressive front profile and low aerodynamic silhouette through loose construction lines and layered shading.

Rather than focusing on technical accuracy, the sketch explored the aggressive character and aerodynamic proportions found in formula racing.

Designed as an evolving archive, the Journal will continue to grow through future collections, creative processes and visual explorations.
